Beim diesjährigen Reddot Design Award haben die Produkt von Topeak die international renommierte Expertenjury wieder überzeugt.

Topeak, seit vielen Jahren Innovationsführer und Qualitätsbenchmark in der
Fahrradzubehör-Industrie, hat einen neuen Präzisons-Drehmomentschlüssel mit Digital-
anzeige vorgestellt. Das gewünschte Drehmoment wird am D-Torq einfach über das
Display eingestellt und kann ebenfalls gespeichert werden. Ein Signalton warnt vor Überschreitung. Der praktische Ratschenkopf nimmt alle gängigen Bit Stecker auf und
ist somit universell für Drehmomente von 1-20 Nm einsetzbar. Als wählbare Einheiten
stehen N/m, kg/cm, in/lb oder ft/lb zur Verfügung. Die schwere Werkzeugqualität und
das robuste Transport-Case machen den D-Torq zum Begleiter im professionellen
Renneinsatz.

Die neue CO2-BRA Fahrrad-Kartuschenpumpe von Topeak liefert im Renn- oder
Trainingseinsatz den nötigen Zeitvorsprung. Durch die ergonomische Form und den
Daumenspannhebel lässt sich die Pumpe optimal bedienen. Der integrierte Sicherheits-
indikator gibt an ob die Kartusche angestochen und einsatzbereit ist. Durch den
automatischen Pumpenkopf lassen sich Presta- und Schraderventile befüllen. Das
geringe Gewicht (69 Gramm ohne 16g Kartusche) machen die CO2-BRA zu einem praktischen Begleiter.

Topeak wins reddot design award 2008 for Ratchet Rocket and ALiEN III.

Ratchet Rocket combines mini tool convenience with the speed of a reversing ratchet. The ratchet tool features a fine tooth ratchet mechanism with reverse lever and thumb wheel for quick rotation and control in confined spaces and has a magnetized drive head to hold the hardened tool steel 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6mm hex, #2 Phillips and 25 Torx bits. Ratchet tool snaps into an integrated chain tool and bit storage bin with hinged cover. A weather resistant hard case is provided that features two hard anodized tire levers (included), chain pin storage area and water bottle quick release mounting hardware.

The functional and yet aesthetically desirable AirFender™ mudguard can be inflated with a mini pump within seconds and attached to the seat post. The user thus has a fully functional mudguard to hand very quickly. The clamp fits all seat posts with a diameter of 25.4 to 34.9 mm. Adjustments can be easily made without mini-tools. Once the trails are dry again, the AirFender™ can be deflated, detached, rolled up and stowed away. Packed this way, the mudguard also fits into small saddlebags.

Topeak wins IF Eurobike Award 2007 Bronze for JoeBlow™ Ace.

JoeBlow™ Ace is for cycling enthusiasts who require a pump that can easily achieve very high pressures for road and track tires yet will provide high volume for fast inflation of fat mountain bike tires. A thumb-operated lever on the handle allows the user to select both chambers for high volume, large chamber only for high pressure and small chamber only for very high pressures up to 260 psi. Other features include stable tripod base housing a large easy to read gauge, padded ergonomic handles, long hose with SmartHead™ pump head that automatically adjusts to both Presta and Schrader valves and rotary gauge with large easy-to-read numbers.

Topeak wins reddot design award 2006 for Micro Rocket MasterBlaster™ and PropShock.

The Rocket series are bicycle pumps, which are very small and have a sophisticated look. The Micro Rocket pump is only 16cm long and is very light with its weight of 55-65 grammes. Nevertheless, it has a very high pressure volume. Thanks to its powerful cylinder it can pump up tyres up to 11 bars. Micro Rocket is available in an aluminium and a carbon version.

PropShock is an innovative suspension pump, which can in case of emergency replace a defective suspension system on a bike within a very short time. The suspension pump measures 18.5 x 4.6 x 2.9cm. It fits Schrader valves and has a pump performance of 21 bars. Excessive air can be quickly removed with the help of the pressure release button. Thanks to its 360-degrees pump arm, the suspension system can be inflated from every position. The aluminium handle is equipped with an additional safety catch.

The ride starts out sunny, but after an hour it starts to rain. Pull the Topeak AirFender™ from your wedge bag or hydration pack, attach it with it’s handy quick release and pump it up. You now have a fender. Once the weather clears and things dry off, simply deflate, remove via the quick release, roll it up and stash it away in your bag or pack…

The AirFender™ is a collapsible, lightweight fender that inflates easily with a mini pump using air to hold it’s shape and give it structure. When it is no longer needed, AirFender™ is easily deflated by threading on the air release that is integrated to the opposite side of the valve cap. An integrated quick release makes it easy to install or remove from a seat post as need. The unique design rolls up for compact storage, small enough to fit into a wedge pack, jersey pocket or trunk bag.

Against this backdrop, the Topeak Bikamper™ tent has been designed with an interesting and innovative functionality, providing solutions to several needs at once. The bicycle itself serves as the main structural element for pitching the tent. The one-person tent utilises the bicycle frame and front wheel in place of tent poles. Consequently the tent is extremely small and light, and easily stowed. As such, the Topeak Bikamper™ is also a reinterpretation of compact, lightweight tent design. The combination of materials used in the Topeak Bikamper™ is also interesting. The canopy is constructed of light, durable and waterproofed 45D ripstop nylon. The Topeak Hexus™ 16 is a compact 16-function folding tool. The body is made of glass fiber. The functions include a Shimano compatible chain tool. The butt shells integrate a jack, a hexagon socket 4 mm as well as a pan head screwdriver and a Philips screwdriver. The functions also include a hexagon socket: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, T25 torque bits for disc brakes, chain assembly hooks and spoke tightener made of high-grade steel. Topeak Hexus™ 16 is available in black, grey and yellow. It has a weight of 160 grams and fits into a trouser pocket.
